What is a TIF File Type?
In the mid-1980s, the TIFF format was created as a d'format; a universal image for different platforms-computer forms and document scanners. The format has become popular among professionals in the publishing industry, including photographers and graphic designers. Part of the reason for the popularity of the format is its ability to be edited and re-saved without losing the quality of the image.
TIF files can be saved in a lossless (uncompressed) format or can incorporate .JPEG compression. They can also use LZW, which reduces the size of the TIF file but does not reduce the quality of the image.
These TIF files are supported by a variety of visualization programs and d' edition d' images. You can use Microsoft Windows Photos, which comes with the d' exploitation system. If you are a MacOS user you can use l' Preview d' Apple, which comes with the system.
TIF files can use also the' extension .TIFF.
