What is a PRI File Type?
The PRI files were initially introduced by Microsoft for the development of Windows 8 but are used by the following versions, including 8.1 and 10. A CPRI is compiled from d' a .RESW source file, which is included in the development project. This file is created at the time of compilation to store an index of the resources that are packaged with the developer. There is usually a PRI for each language in the application file. When the application is launched, the system refers to the index in the PRI file to load the necessary resources.
