What is a PBIT File Type?
The PBIT is similar to the .PBIX file, which is the main file type created by Power BI Desktop. The PBIT file, however, is used to save queries, data models, visualizations and reports in order to be reused. File → Save As or File → Export → Power BI Template.
The PBIT files are saved in the Office XML format, which is also used to save popular .DOCX, .XLSX, and .PPTX files. If you need to manually view the content, rename the file; " pbit &" l' extension to &" zip &" to create a .ZIP file and extract the contents from the file.
The Power BI Desktop is a data visualization program usually used to view data for commercial purposes. You can import different data formats such as .CSV, XLSX, and .XML or SQL server, IBM, and Access databases. It can also connect to a variety of online services such as Google Analytics, SharePoint and Salesforce.
Once you have connected the data sources you can combine and shape the data and create reports. You can customize the visualization of reports, including type of graph, colors and filters. Most users will save this information in the PBIX file, but you can save it as a PBIT model if you want to reproduce the' information.
