What is a GMAP File Type?
Your Google Drive files, which may include GMAP, .GDOC, .GDRAW, .GSLIDES, and .GTABLE, are accessible in a special folder called Google Drive after you install the Google Drive desktop client. It is located on the local hard drive and is used to synchronize files with the remote Google Reader on the Web.
When you save a map to MyCard a GMAP file is created in your Google Drive folder. It works in the same way as' a .URL Internet shortcut file that, once double-clicked @-@, opens the file in Google Drive in your default browser.
My Maps tool is available in Google Drive. You can create maps, draw lines, shapes, or placement marks, stylize your content with different colors and icons, and organize the maps in different layers. You can import geographic data such as place names, addresses and coordinates from .CSV, .XLSX, .KML and .GPX files.
Google Drive desktop applications have been discontinued in 2018, but you can still access Google Drive online.
