What is a VCF File Type?
VCF files are often used to import and export contacts from booklets addresses. It can be attached to e-mail messages, allowing the receiver to easily import the contact information of the sender and apos.
Windows users can open vCards with help from Windows Contacts. Users of Mac OS X can open vCards with the Contacts application included. iPod and iPhone can load vCards directly into the device. Android users can also load vCards using the application Contacts provided with the d'operating system.
VCF files can be created from other file formats. For example, .XLS or .XLSX can be saved as .CSV files in Microsoft Excel and converted to VCF files at l' help with simple conversion programs, such as CSV to vCard.
The vCards are saved in a text format, which means you can view the content in a text editor. They may, however, also include a binary data block, which is often used to store a photo.
