What is a SOR File Type?

It sends optical pulses into the fiber, then collects the light that has been reflected from different points in the fiber. It then measures the strength of the return pulses, known as pulses; traces and quotes. The data is transferred to a computer and stored in a SOR file, which can be viewed and analyzed by various programs, such as VeEX Fiberizer Desktop and VIAVI FiberTrace.

There are two versions of files SOR. The first was developed by Bellcore and the new version by Telcordia.

   3. Confirm Change for all... and Contine.
   4. A message will appear "This change will be applied to all files with .VeEX Fiberizer Desktop extension. By clicking Continue you confirm your selection", click Contine to apply changes.
