What is a SBSAR File Type?
An SBSAR file is the published version; a .SBS file. It is optimized to store only the information required to render the substance; it stores and cannot be modified. To publish a substance in Substance Designer, which creates an SBSAR file, follow these steps:
The SBSAR files can be opened by a variety of programs including Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Unity, Unreal Engine 4, Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, CATIA and TouchDesigner.
You can open a SBSAR file in Substance Designer by selecting File → Open.... You can add SBSAR files in Substance Painter by selecting File → Import resources..., drag and drop files in the "Shelf" pane in Substance Painter, or place them in the "Materials " directory.
Documents / Substance Painter / Brochure / Documents / Substance Painter / Brochure.
The documents stored in the new SBSAR files will be available in the file "Shelf" pane in Substance Painter.
