What is a PY File Type?

Both MacroMates TextMate and Sublime Text are useful source code editors, as well as JetBrains PyCharm, which is a Python IDE for professional developers.
In the late 1980s, the programming language was created by Guido van Rossum with later versions in 2000 (Python 2.0) and 2008 (Python 3.0) respectively.
