What is a MPO File Type?
The DFO files created by digital cameras are captured by the two lenses of the digital camera, combined and visualized sideways-by-as a single 3D image. A 3D image appears when it is displayed on a supported 3D device such as a 3D TV. They can also be converted into an anaglyphic image with a d'treatment program; stereoscopic image, and then viewed with red/green 3D glasses. Standard JPG images can also open DFO files, but you can only see one of the two images, usually the left-hand image.
Nintendo 3DS can also create DFO files. The files are 640x480 which is the size of the screen of the camera and can be viewed at the apos; help of NVIDIA 3D Vision Photo Viewer under Windows.
This format was developed by The Camera & Imaging Products Association. The specification actually saves n' no matter how many JPG files in a MPO file, but l' most common use is for stereoscopic images. The Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D series cameras are included in the digital cameras that support multiple frame images.
Another popular stereoscopic format is the JPEG Image stereo format, which uses the apos; file extension .JPS.
