What is a MHTML File Type?
MHTML means encapsulation of aggregated HTML documents, or MIME HTML. The files are usually saved by a web browser from a .HTML file and encoded with the' encoding .MIME.
You can open MHTML files with the help of various web browsers, including Internet Explorer and Chrome, whether you are online or offline. MHTML files stored in a web browser may, however, seem different when they are opened in another web browser because there are no standard MHTML formats used by all browsers.
MHTML Web archives can also be opened by programs other than web browsers. You can open the archives using Microsoft Word, Kingsoft Writer and WizBrother WizHtmlEditor.
MHTML can be saved as .MHT files, although l' extension .mhtml is more commonly used. The extension .mhtml can also be renamed .eml and opened as an .EML file instead of .' an MHTML file.
The files with l' extension .mhtml are often used by cybercriminals to distribute dangerous malware so you should check the source from which you received the MHTML file before l' open.
