What is a YTT File Type?
YouTube uses the YTT format to add text from under-stylized title to YouTube videos. Some features of YTT supported sub-titles include colour and transparency of text, glossy text or drop-shadow text, positioning of text, font styles, l' background appearance and karaoke timing.
Users who post videos to YouTube can manually enter sub-titles directly into the YouTube Studio dashboard on YouTube or they can download a file of sub-titles, such as .SRT, .SUB, .LRC, .RT, .SMI or .VTT. However, only the text is displayed when one of these methods is used, and not the styles applied.
To add titles with stylized text, users convert files under-titles, such as .ASS files created with the Aegisub titles software, to YTT files using the YTSubConverter program. Open the supported YTSubConverter titles sub-file and click Convert to create the YTT file. Then download the YTT file through the dashboard YouTube Studio for l' add to a video.
Since the YTT format is not intended for public use, the YTT files are rather obscure. You will probably only encounter a YTT file if you create the file or if the file is shared with you by another YouTube user trying to add stylized text.
Different styles of-titles configured in YTT files may appear in different types of' YouTube apps, such as web, Android, and iOS.
