What is a WIN File Type?
The file type is l' one of the many active packages from which a game developer can choose to support the distribution of his game. The package is designed to protect against modifications by users attempting to alter the gameplay.
Players using the WIN file type can find the WIN file in the same directory as the .EXE game file. Examples of games using the WIN file developed by GameMaker Studio include Rivals of Aether, IMSCARED, Deltarune and Undertale.
A WIN file is not intended to be opened by a user. These are intended to be referenced by the games for which they contain assets. Users who like to modify the gameplay, however, can open WIN files for the Undertale and Deltarune games (and can be-d' other GameMaker Studio games) with UndertaleModTool.
Users are not required to modify the games that they modify; they are legally required to do so.
