What is a TA9 File Type?
Only if you file with TaxAct 2019 in Windows or TaxAct Online will you likely receive a TA9 file. You can also receive a TA9 file if someone prepares the tax with the software and shares the TA9 file with you. You can only open TA9 files with TaxAct 2019 and after or TaxAct Online.
Since annual tax returns are filed for the previous year, the TA9 file is generally created in 2020 from January to April. The TA9 replaced the .TA8 file, which is used for 2018 income tax returns created by the 2018 version of the Act of l' income tax in 2019.
The TA9 folders (Freel, Deluxe +, First +, and Self-Employed +) prepared by TaxAct users are located in the folder; TaxAct2019 "folder in your folder; My documents; folder. Once you have completed your tax return, you can print and send it by mail or send it electronically.
You can save your tax return in case your tax return becomes corrupt, is deleted, or is lost. Select File → Backup... and name your file. A backup return is created and saved as a .BA9 file. It is important to save your income tax return before creating your backup.
