What is a SC2REPLAY File Type?
To open a downloaded SC2REPLAY file, you can either double click on the file and l&apos, open manually, or you can place the file in l&apos, one of the following directories and then l&apos, open from the Replay menu in StarCraft II.
Windows SC2 replay file.
Documents\ StarCraft II\ Accounts\\\ Display\\.
MacOS SC2 (Updated by Blizzard in September 2010) replay file.
Documents / Blizzard / StarCraft II / Accounts / Poster / Poster.
To create a replay file select "Save Replay in StarCraft II after a single or multiplayer game is over. There are several-directories for different types of rereading saved. VersusAI, for example, is for replicas against l' computer. Each sub-can be browsed from the inside of the program.
To play a reread, click on the Replay menu in the profile of the user. They are divided into the Recent, Multiplayer, Versus A.I. and Challenge categories. Users in the Multiplayer, Versus A.I. and Challenge categories can create new-folders to organize their replicas. StarCraft II stores the last 10 games played automatically in the Recent folder.
By viewing an SC2 playback, you can speed up or slow down the playback and jump back anywhere on the playback time line (NOTE: you can jump ahead as the playback must move sequentially through the playback stages) and you can do so. You can also see the replay of each player's perspective, which includes the quote, the fog of war, and the perspective. Users can also navigate the map, select the units, and enable statistics such as the number of units, the level of technology, or the APM actions (per minute) rating each player.
The SC2REPLAY files are not back compatible with previous versions of the software. For example, saved replicas with the beta version of StarCraft II are not playable with the official version. To play older replicas, therefore, you must use the appropriate version of the software. StarCraft, the predecessor of StarCraft II stores playback files with a .REP extension.
