What is a PWI File Type?
Microsoft Outlook 'Notes "View can be used to view PWI files when synchronizing with a Windows Mobile device. Ensure that the notes are synchronized @[email protected], then synchronize-with Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC), and then view the notes in Outlook. Microsoft ActiveSync was used to open PWI files in conjunction with Microsoft Word. ActiveSync has provided a Word-plug-in that allows Word to open documents. With the release of WMDC, however, PWI n'support is more available.
Some PWI files can be opened on a PC with Microsoft Word. However, the ink data may not display correctly. OneNote 2003 can read handwritten notes and text in PWI files. Some older versions of Microsoft can open Pocket Word documents, including Works 7.0.
InkWriter / Note Taker documents are also called PWI files.
