What is a MNS File Type?

Before the 2006 version, AutoCAD supported MNS files. The MNS files are the same as .MNU files, but do not contain special formatting or comments.

Autodesk replaced the MNS files with the .CUI file format in AutoCAD 2006. The CUI files were replaced by .CUIX files in AutoCAD 2010. MNS files can be converted to CUIX files using the Transfer command CUI tab in AutoCAD 2010.
