What is a H2W File Type?
The H2W files are generated by H2testw and F3 when' a user starts a test and numbered consecutively if more; a H2W file (1.h2w, 2.h2w, etc.) is created. H2testw writes D'H2W files, a size of 1 gigabyte (GB) and multiples of 1 megabyte (MB) to fill a drive or memory card. F3 generates H2W files that fill the entire space, with each H2W file 1GB in size up to and including the last file, which can be less than 1GB in order to fill the remaining space.
If you encounter an H2W file on a drive you can delete it and delete it. If you try it again with H2testw or F3, however, another H2W file will be created.
To use the H2testw program insert the USB stick or SD card, open the program, select the target, choose the data volume, and then click Write + Verify. The program will display information about the reader's reading/writing speed and possible errors once the testing process is complete.
H2testw was developed in German by Harald Bögeholz but is also available in English. The tool is available free of charge and only works under Windows.
It was developed as an alternative to H2testw, which is open source and runs on Windows, MacOS and Linux. Available free of charge and developed as a successor to the H2testw tool.
