What is a ALF File Type?
If you are a teacher using the Alf software, you will probably find an ALF file. These files can be created in the Alf program (for Windows only) or can be downloaded from the Alf site. The file format allows saving and sharing lessons with other users of' Alf. You can create lessons for specific students or download them from the website of d' Alf to share with d' other users for a wider range of uses.
During the creation of an interactive test in Alf, you can choose from a variety of questions, including a single choice, multiple choice, memory game, correspondence, command, labelling of' images, flash cards, puzzle, fill gaps, crosswords and riddles. Questions can also be ordered and deadlines set. When you save the interactive test, it creates an ALF file to store the test, which can be closed and reopened for editing.
Since the ALF files are compressed with Zip compression they can be extended using a Zip decompression utility. Just rename the file extension .alf to .zip and d' use a Zip decompression program to expand the content and display it. Some Zip programs include 7 @- @ Zip, Corel WinZip and Apple Archive Utility.
