What is a BDOC File Type?
The BDOC is based on ETSI ASiC standards for signature containers. Riigi Infosüsteemi Amet (RIA), which is the System Authority; information d' Estonia. BDOC is one of three digital signature and cryptographic file formats of the DigiDoc family, along with .CDOC and .DDOC files.
Since its initial release, several versions of the BDOC format have been developed. It was released in 2009 and was used until May 2014, when it was replaced by version 2.1. The BDOC is the second generation of DigiDoc formats and the successor to the first generation of DDOC formats.
