What is a XLSB File Type?
XLSB differs from open XML spreadsheets (.XLSX) in that it stores spreadsheets using a binary (BIFF12) format. You will probably see and use the XLSX file more often because it is compressed to save space and que' it is easier to share with other users. The XLSB files are not compressed making them larger than the XLSX files. XLSB files, however, can work more efficiently in Excel because they are saved in the larger binary format.
Depending on the operating system you use, Excel saves the XLSB files in the following places by default.
Windows Vista, 7 & 10 C:\ Users; id; name d' user; gt;\ AppData\ Local\ Microsoft\ Excel\ XLStart.
Windows XP: C:\ Documents and Settings\ Application\ Microsoft\ Excel\ XLStart.
All right.

XLSB files can be opened by Excel 2007 or later, or by previous versions of Excel with Open XML support.
