What is a PUB File Type?
It is used by casual and professional users to design layouts such as newsletters, brochures and posters. The program comes with Office 365 of Microsoft Office, while the base editions include only Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. When you save a document to Publisher, it creates a PUB file to store the contents of the document. This allows you to save the changes in your document and close the file and l' open again for the' edit again. Not only are PUB files used for layout, they can also be used to integrate and store data sources for email merges and data-sheet generation.
If you have a large amount of text in your PUB document that you want to reuse for other purposes, you can export it to a .DOCX file for l' edit it in Microsoft Word. The font format and text will be saved, but the graphics or columns of your document will not be retained. To save your PUB as a DOCX file, select File & Rarr; Save as, choose the document format Word that you want to save as, and then click Save.
There are several other applications that can also open the PUB files. FreeOffice Draw is included in CorelDRAW, which is part of the CorelDRAW Graphics Suite. You can also open your PUB files in Adobe InDesign, l&apos, one of the most popular desktop publishing programs, with the PUB2ID plugin installed.
